What exactly is spiritual direction?
Spiritual direction is concerned with helping a person directly with his or her relationship with God. It is a process carried out in an one-on-one interpersonal context. Spiritual direction helps a person listen to and articulate God’s call in one’s life and to respond in love to that call. The primary purpose of spiritual direction is to help people grow in their relationship with God.
Who are the directors?
The available directors for this weekend retreat include Jesuit scholastics (seminarians) and lay men and women who are currently being trained in the art of Spiritual Direction as well as Jesuit priests, nuns, and lay people experienced in Spiritual Direction.
Who will be my director?
Once you register for the retreat, you receive our Spiritual Direction Application by email. Please return the application by January 10.
We will match you with a director who we believe will be most helpful to you on retreat.
