Leadership

Contemplative Leaders in Action (CLIA) Program

Contemplative Leaders in Action is designed to nurture emerging Christ-centered leaders so that they can impact society. Each year, a selected cohort of approximately twelve young adult “emerging leaders” from business, the professions, civil society, and non-profit organizations will be nominated to enter this program.  The program began as an initiative of the Jesuit Collaborative and now has cohorts in Boston, Philadelphia, and New York.

The two-year program is unique in that it provides both spiritual formation and “secular” leadership training. It seeks to help young professionals integrate their work and faith through Ignatian Spirituality.  Participants have demonstrated leadership potential and a commitment to service and leadership excellence.

Each year, we will gather twelve emerging leaders to participate in this program, representing very diverse professions: business, healthcare, law, civic, and non-profit organizations. Though participants will have diverse backgrounds, they will share certain key characteristics: distinguished achievement in their workplaces, a personal commitment to serve the common good throughout their lifetimes, the potential to make a substantial positive impact on society, and the willingness to pursue continued spiritual and professional growth. We seek individuals who care about their Christian faith and seek ways to live that faith through their various works, whether as bankers, in church ministries, or as parents.
