	August 1-6, 2010 Young Adult Summer Conference Catholics on Call invites young people, ages 18-30, who are considering a life of service in the Church to join them for their 2010 young adult summer conferences. Participants will have the opportunity to connect and pray with other like-minded young adults, to hear nationally-known speakers discuss how to listen to God’s call, and to learn valuable skills that will help them to discern their vocation. 	Are you an alumni of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School? Celebrate the Parish Centennial! On September 11, there will be an Open House and Litrugy for all OLM graduates to celebreate the parish centennial. 	Wednesday, September 15 Finding Sacred Space in Cyberspace Cathleen Falsani is an award-winning religion columnist and contributing editor at Sojourners Magazine. Like many folks who skew more toward Generation X than Generation Z, Falsani began her foray onto Facebook as an exercise in ennui abatement. But the death of a college friend created a communion of twenty souls all over the world who share their lives, hopes, fears, struggles, and joys together in cyberspace. She tells a story of an absolutely authentic, transformative phenomenon that has truly enlivened her faith and asks, “Might the Spirit of God abide in the electrons that float through cyberspace?” Her latest book, The Thread: Rediscovering Faith and Friendship on Facebook will be released in the summer 2010. 	Author Beth Knobbe wants to hear about your experience for her next book! Are you single? Catholic? And OK with it? Or not? Beth Knobbe is writing a book about living a single life with purpose, and she's interested in your story! She is looking for personal anecdotes (500-750 words) to be considered for her book about living a full and abundant single life. Ideally, the stories will provide a candid, hopeful, and optimistic approach to being single, while acknowledging that being single isn't always easy. 	August 13-22, 2011 Young Adult Papal Pilgrimage Join the Diocese of Joliet Young Adult Ministry on a young adult pilgrimage to World Youth Day in Madrid! This will be an unbelieveable journey where Catholic pilgrims from all over the world unite to share their faith. The week includes prayer, song, concerts, drama, sharing, liturgy, catechesis, and an unforgettable vigil and closing Mass with the Holy Faither and a million people. Find out more!

	Ongoing: Young Adult Social After celebrating the Sunday 5:15pm Mass at Holy Name Cathedral, young adults gather in the courtyard to share dinner together at Devon's restaurant. All are welcome.
